Finally Back!!

Hello my fellow bloggers and blog readers! I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to update you all on my progress. It's been so hectic and life gets so complicated, wish I could stay in this invisalign world all the time! Any hoo! Let's get started....

Last visit to my Ortho was on August 4th, I was given 3 trays (T27, T28, and T29) I'm currently on Tray 28. I've been asked to wear each tray for three weeks. These are suppose to be my last trays but I am still not satisfied with how my top central incisor looks, to me it still looks out of place. My ortho asked me to wait until my next visit, we will then see the progress and decide if we should move forward with refinement trays... these will help perfect my smile.

As I switch from tray to tray I notice some discomfort, but nothing compared to what it was when we started this journey. The discomfort at this moment seems to be concentrating on my left side, my jaw feels sore. My ortho tells me this is common and a good sign, means that my bone is readjusting because of the shifts my teeth have made. According to her the discomfort should go away soon. I'm really excited to see the final results. I can definitely see a difference when compared to the first pictures posted on my first blog "Lets get started".... also when comparing T1 to T28 (Wowsers! such a difference)

To end on happy note my sister in law and I are thinking about getting matching tattoos once the treatment is over. Something to mark the orthodontic journey we both took together.

"Smile" seems really appropriate to us, still trying to decide where :) I'll keep you all posted.

Trays, Trays, Trays

I got a call from my Orthos office today at 2pm. We are having a bit of a snow storm here in Chicago and they want me to come in earlier than my scheduled time. I was able to get off of work at 3, but with this crazy weather I made it to the dentist office at about 3:50pm.

Good News! Everything looks great! Ortho is happy with my progress :) I did tell her about the small gap I see when my bottom tray is inserted, she thinks that incisor may need more time to adjust. I have been recommended to wear my trays for an extra week now, so instead of switching out the trays every 2 weeks it'll be every 3 weeks.

As soon I was home I did the usual thing... I tore open my next set of trays to see what my teeth will be looking like in march :) Exciting!!

I don't have any teeth pics, so here are some of our winter wonderland in chitown :)

Happy NEW Smiles!!

Hello my fellow invisiligners!! Happy New Year... It's been a very long time since I've been here. I am so sorry its taken me this long to update my blog. Work has been DIFFICULT! Things are getting better and I'll have more free time now. I'll try and blog more often.

Currently I am on Tray 16!!

I have a dental appointment tomorrow at 5pm... it should be a very fast and easy appointment, they will give me Trays 17, 18 and 19. I can see the start of my beautiful Hollywood smile coming together. I know I still have a long way to go, but it makes me so happy when others start pointing out the change taking place.

Trays seem to be fitting well, however I noticed a small gap on my lower left lateral incisor when the trays are inserted... it kinda looks like that tooth hasn't moved to the position it should be. I'll have to speak to my Ortho about this. All the attachments are still on, nothing has fallen off. I've been trying to be really good and keep the trays in for a minimum of 22hrs as recommended, however with the holidays it definitely became more difficult to maintain that routine.

Here are some pictures...

 Tray 16

I'll be uploading a series before and after pictures of my teeth and the trays... somehow I feel like you can see more of a difference off the actual trays.

Write to you soon :)
